Near Ithaca, the Danby State Forest has plenty of trails.

To reach the hiking trailhead, take SR96B past Ithaca College to Danby, then turn left onto either Bald Hill Road, Michigan Hollow Road, or South Danby Road. The Finger Lakes Trail passes through this area.

Overall, Danby State Forest is the 38th most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in New York.
