Hiking The Hardwood Hills

Close to Barrie, the Hardwood Hills have become a mecca for local hikers with 80 km of trails in 6 trail systems and is a must ride when visiting Ontario. The routes are hardpack with some sand, roots and rocks. There is a $7 user fee.

To reach the trailhead, follow Route 400 north to exit 111. Head east on Doran Road through Edgar. Continue east another 5 km and the entrance is on the left side of the road.

Overall, Hardwood Hills is the 16th most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Ontario.
