Southeast of Naples near Positano on the Amalfi Coast, there is exceptional ridgeline hiking along the Amalfi Coast. The hiking routes are overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The most notable local route is Il Sentiero Degli Dei (Walk with the Gods). The trail starts from the village of Nocella, which is about 1,500 feet above sea level. The rocky cliffside path rolls through the forested hillsides.

A central place to stay is in the scenic waterfront town of Positano
