Hiking The Long Cane Horse Trail

Southwest of Greenwood in the Sumter National Forest, the Long Cane Horse Trail is a 23 mile hiking loop through diverse terrain. The while-blazed route begins at the Fell Hunt Campground and runs through oak, hickory and pine forests.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Greenwood, head southwest on SC10 for 7.7 miles. Turn right heading west on Route S 24-27 for 2.4 miles to trailhead on left.

Overall, Long Cane Horse Trail is the 10th most popular hiking trail of all 16 hikes in South Carolina.
