North of Clifton in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, the 12 mile AD Bar Trail passes through a variety of terrain and vegetation including ponderosa pine, pinyon and juniper. It starts at 4,700 feet and climbs to 7,000.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Clifton, head north on SR191 for 40 miles. The trailhead is on the eastside of the road and the parking is on the westside.
