South of Cannonville in the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, the Kodachrome Basin State Park has several scenic trails through amazing red rock formations. To reach the hiking trailhead from Cannonville, head south on Cottonwood Valley Road for about 15 miles. The park entrance is well signed on the left.
Overall, Kodachrome State Park is the 24th most popular hiking trail of all 38 hikes in Utah. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Kodachrome State Park including Hackberry Canyon, Riggs Springs Loop, Red Canyon, Rim Trail, Under The Rim Trail and Fairyland LoopPeekaboo Loop.
