The Bay Circuit Trail is a 200 mile outer loop around Boston from Plum Island near Newburyport in the north to Kingston Bay in the south connecting parks open spaces and waterways. Overall, Bay Circuit is the 21st most popular hiking trail of all 36 hikes in Massachusetts. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Bay Circuit including F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, Myles Standish State Forest, Wompatuck State Park, Willowdale State Forest, Blue Hills Reservation, Lynn Woods Reservation and Breakheart Reservation.
