Hiking The Highline Trail

Northwest of Vernal in the Ashley National Forest, the Highline Trail (#025) is a well-marked and heavily used 80+ mile hiking route. The western terminus is northwest of Roosevelt. The eastern terminus is north of Vernal on US191. Note, the eastern end from US191 to Oaks Park Reservoir is shared with ATV riders and mountain bikers.
To reach the eastern terminus from Vernal, head north on US191 for 30 miles.
Overall, Highline Trail is the 24th most popular hiking trail of all 38 hikes in Utah.
