East of Anchorage from the Prospect Height Trailhead, the Wolverine Peak Trail is a 5.2 mile one-way hiking trek to the summit with an elevation gain of 3,380. There are scenic views of the Alaska Range and Cook Inlet. The trail is accessible from Mile 2 of the Near Point Trail which starts at the Prospect Height Trailhead.

To reach the Prosepect Heights Trailhead from Anchorage, use the O Malley Road Exit of SR1 (Seward Highway). Head east on OMalley Road to Prospect Road. Follow Prospect Road east to trailhead.

Overall, Wolverine Peak Trail is the 23rd most popular hiking trail of all 54 hikes in Alaska.
