Hiking The Montauk State Park Trails
The 29th most popular hiking trail in New York.

On the eastern tip of Long Island, the Montauk State Park has 6 miles of multi-use trails for hiking through heavily wooded tundra.
To reach the trailhead, follow SR27 east to the very end of Long Island.
Note, there are two trails open only to hikers; the Seal Haulout Trail and the Paumanok Path.
Overall, Montauk State Park Trails is the 29th most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in New York. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Montauk State Park Trails including Nassau-Suffolk Trail, Long Island Greenbelt Trail, Pine Barrens Trail, Walt Whitman Trail, Bethpage State Park and Connetquot River State Park Preserve.
