Hiking The Gorge Trail

The 25th most popular hiking trail in New York.

Southwest of Ithaca, the Robert Treman State Park has 7.5 miles of hiking trails. There are three main trails. The Gorge Trail (2.25 miles) follows the bottom of the Enfield Creek Gorge from the parking area to Lucifer Falls. The Rim Trail (2.25 miles) follows the ridge above the gorge to the upper parking area at Old Mill. A 3 miles stretch of the Finger Lakes Trail also passes through the park.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Ithaca, head south on SR13 for about 3 miles. The park entrance is on the right.

Overall, Gorge Trail is the 25th most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in New York.
