South of Buffalo and southwest of Ellicottville, the 6,000 acre Rock City State Forest has a dozen miles of trails and forest roads open to hiking.

To reach the trailhead from Ellicotville, head south on US219. A couple miles past Great Valley, turn right heading north on Hungry Hollow Road. Use the parking area near Camp Seneca.

Overall, Rock City State Forest is the 41st most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in New York.
