Hiking The Oriole East Trail
The 20th most popular hiking trail in Indiana.

East of Evansville and south of Sulphur in the Hoosier National Forest, the Oriole Trail System has over 20 miles of hiking trails shared by hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. The Oriole West Trail is 7.2 miles. The Oriole East Trail is 8.8 miles.
To reach the trailhead, follow US64 to IN 37/IN 66 west (Exit 86). Go south on IN 66 west four miles to Jeffries Cemetery. Look for a small Hoosier National Forest sign on the right side of the road. Turn left into the parking area next to Jeffries Cemetery. Park there or go across the road at Oriole Pond.
