Hiking The Buford Mountain Conservation Area

South of St Louis and northeast of Belleview in the St Francois Mountains, there is a 10.5 mile loop trail around the Buford Mountain Conservation Area. Expect to find solitude and outstanding views on this trek.

To reach the hiking trailhead from St Louis, head south on US55 for 34 miles. Turn south on US67 for 31 miles. Turn west on SR32 for 21 miles. Turn south on SR21 for 7 miles. Turn north on Route U for 2 miles to the parking area.

Overall, Buford Mountain Conservation Area is the 12th most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Missouri.
