Southeast of Tawas in the Huron-Manistee National Forest, the Highbanks Trail is a 7 mile hiking route with views of the Au Sable River Valley. There are two trailheads: Iargo Springs and Sid Town Village.

Overall, Highbanks Trail is the 21st most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Michigan.
