Hiking The South Fork Silver Creek Trail

North of Spokane and Colville in the Three Rivers Ranger District, the Silver Creek Trail is a 15 mile route open to horseback riding. This wooded trail crosses several creeks. Views of the Pend Oreille Valley and the Kettle Crest. Keep an eye out for caribou, moose and grizzly in the northeast corner of this national forest.
To reach the hiking trailhead from Colville follow county road 9435 north for 23 miles and take county road 9445 to Leadpoint. Turn east at Leadpoint and follow Forest Service road 4720 to the junction with road 070. Continue east on road 070 to the trailhead.
