Northwest of Mountain View near Allison in the Ozark National Forest, the Sylamore Creek Trail is a 13.75 mile one-way hiking route from Allison northwest to Barkshed. Trailheads are located in Allison, Blanchard, Gunner Pool, and Barkshed Recreation Areas. There are developed campgrounds at each, except for Allison.
