Hiking The Glen Onoco / Broad Mountain Loop

The 26th most popular hiking trail in Pennsylvania.

Northwest of Philidelpia near Jim Thorpe, the Glen Onoco / Broad Mountain Loop is an eight mile hiking route with exceptional views, such as the 25 foot Glen Onoco Falls. This route follows doubletrack through dense hardwood forest past falls, creeks and meadows.

Glen Onoko is the southern access area and may be reached by taking Exit 74 of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Follow US 209 south to Jim Thorpe. Then take PA 903 north across the river to Coalport Road. Turn off of Coalport to Glen Onoko.

Also, there is the Lehigh Gorge multi-purpose trail.

Overall, Glen Onoco / Broad Mountain Loop is the 26th most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Pennsylvania.
