Hiking The Otero Canyon Trail / Blue Ribbon Trail

The 30th most popular hiking trail in New Mexico.

East of Albuquerque and south of Tijeras, a cool rolling 8 mile hiking loop combines the Otero Canyon Trail going up with the Blue Ribbon Trail (#236) coming back down. Watch for numerous side trails to explore.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Albuquerque, head east on US40 to the Tijeras exit. Proceed south on SR337 for 3.5 miles to trailhead parking area near the NFS Cedro Campground.

Overall, Otero Canyon Trail / Blue Ribbon Trail is the 30th most popular hiking trail of all 39 hikes in New Mexico.
