In Wabasha County in the Richard J Dorer Memorial Hardwood State Forest, the 3,000 acre Snake Creek Management Unit has a 5 mile loop.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Red Wing, head southeast on US61. About 4.5 miles past Kellogg, turn right into Snake Creek. Veer right to reach the non-motorized trailhead.

Overall, Snake Creek is the 17th most popular hiking trail of all 31 hikes in Minnesota.
