On the Upper Peninsula south of Munising, the Brunos Run Trail is a seven mile hiking trail winding past many small lakes etched into a relatively young glacial plain. This local favorite runs by old growth hemlocks and over foothills offering overlooks into the valley.

To reach the hiking trailhead from SR 28 in Munising, head south on FS13 for 11 miles. Park at the Moccasin Lake Picnic Area and pickup the trail just to the south.

Overall, Brunos Run Trail is the 25th most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Michigan. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Brunos Run Trail including North Country Trail, Grand Island National Recreation Area, Pine Marten Run, Grand Island Trail/Bay de Noc and Oakwood Trail.
