Hiking The Piney Creek Trail

The 15th most popular hiking trail in Missouri.

Southwest of Springfield and east of Cassville, the Piney Creek Wilderness Trail is a 13 mile network of five hiking trails providing access to the Piney Creek Wilderness. The trails are shared by hikers and equestrians. There are two trailheads. The north trailhead is near the Pineview Lookout and the south trailhead is about 4 miles east of Hill City.

From Branson, MO, travel 32 miles west on Hwy 76; turn on Lake Road 76-6 about a mile. North trailhead is near Pineview Lookout. Both forks of the loop trail lead down ridges to Piney Creek. Go east along Piney Creek to Table Rock Lake.

Overall, Piney Creek Trail is the 15th most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Missouri.
