Hiking The Devils Backbone Trail

Southeast of Springfield and west of West Plains, the Devils Backbone Wilderness Trail is an 11 mile hiking route. Collins Ridge is the southern trailhead. Note: Collins Ridge to McGarr Ridge is part of the Ozark Trail.

From West Plains, MO, go 10 miles west on Hwy K, then 4 miles on Hwy KK, turn onto dirt County Road for about 1.5 miles.

Overall, Devils Backbone Trail is the 10th most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Missouri.
