Hiking The Powwow Trail

The 15th most popular hiking trail in Minnesota.

East of Ely in the Superior National Forest, the Powwow Trail is a 26 mile loop. Keep an eye out for moose and wolves. Note, parts of the trail can be swampy. The hiking trailhead is located at the end of FS377 near Isabella Lake.

Overall, Powwow Trail is the 15th most popular hiking trail of all 31 hikes in Minnesota.
