Hiking The Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park

The 19th most popular hiking trail in Nevada.

Northeast of South Lake Tahoe, the 12,240 acre Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park has miles of trails open to hiking. There are several trails into the backcountry, along with a stretch of the Tahoe Rim Trail and the historic Marlette Flume Trail. A popular place to start is the Spooner Lake trailhead.

Spooner Lake is located on US50 about 12 miles west of Carson City or 15 miles north of South Lake Tahoe.

Overall, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park is the 19th most popular hiking trail of all 20 hikes in Nevada.
