Hiking The Mount Lola Trail

Northwest of Truckee in the Tahoe National Forest, the Mt Lola Trail is a 9.5 mile one-way hiking route. The elevation ranges from 6600 to 9100 feet.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Truckee, head north on SR89 to Henness Pass Road. Turn left heading west of Henness Pass Road for 4.5 miles to the trailhead.

The trail heads south to Mount Lola, and continues beyond to connect with a variety of other routes.

Overall, Mount Lola Trail is the 68th most popular hiking trail of all 88 hikes in California. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Mount Lola Trail including Loon Lake South Shore Trail, Ellis Peak / Ellis Lake and Sand Ridge Lake Trail.
