North of Bryson City, the Deep Creek Trail is a 14 mile route open to hiking.

To reach the hiking trailhead from Bryson City, head north on West Deep Creek Road for 2.5 miles. Trailhead is on the left.

Overall, Deep Creek Trail is the 18th most popular hiking trail of all 24 hikes in Tennessee. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Deep Creek Trail including Wolf Ridge Trail, Balsam Mountain Trail, Cooper Road Trail, Lakeshore Trail, Welch Ridge Trail and Foothills Parkway.
