Hiking The Swanholm - Warrior Trail

Northeast of Boise and west of Atlanta in the Boise National Forest, the Swanholm - Warrior Trail #051 is an 8 mile hiking route that connects the Black Warrior and Horse Heaven Trails. It is part of the Black Warrior / Swanholm / Horse Heaven Trail System.

To reach the Horse Heaven Trailhead from the intersection of Quarts Rd. and Middle Fork Rd. in Atlanta, go west on Middle Fork Rd. for 15 miles. Turn right (north) on Alexander Flat Rd. (FR 327) and travel 6 miles to the trailhead on the right. This is the beginning of Horse Heaven trail. After 3 miles the trail intersects with Swanholm-Warrior trail.

Overall, Swanholm - Warrior Trail is the 18th most popular hiking trail of all 19 hikes in Idaho.
