Hiking The American Fork Canyon

The 34th most popular hiking trail in Utah.

Southeast of Salt Lake City and northeast of American Fork in the Unita National Forest, the American Fork Canyon has multi-use trails open to hiking. Note, this area is popular with OHV users.

To reach the Tibble Fork Parking Area from the intersection of I-80 and I-15 in Salt Lake City, go south on I-15 for 24 miles. Exit and go east on SR 92 for 12.6 miles. Go left on SR 44 and travel about 2.5 miles. Look for OHV parking near the Tibble Fork Reservoir.

Overall, American Fork Canyon is the 34th most popular hiking trail of all 38 hikes in Utah.
