Hiking The Oro-Medonte Rail Trail

The 21st most popular hiking trail in Ontario.

The Oro-Medonte Rail Trail is a 28km route open to mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snowmobiling (by permit only). It runs from Woodland Drive at the City of Orillia border to Penetanguishene Road at the city of Barrie border.

To reach the trailhead, follow Shanty Bay Rd. to Line 1 North. Follow to parking lot.

Overall, Oro-Medonte Rail Trail is the 21st most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Ontario.
