Hiking The Livingston - Hickman

The 6th most popular hiking trail in Louisiana.

North of Pineville in the Kisatchie National Forest, the Livingston Trail Complex is open to hiking. This area is also heavily used by ATV and dirt bike riders.

There are two main trails. The Little Creek Trail is a 22.6 mile route. The Hickman Trail is a 12.5 mile route.

There are two trailheads: Hickman Trailhead in the north and Little Creek Trailhead in the south.

To reach the Little Creek Trailhead from Pineville, head north on SR165 to the town of Ball (roughly 6 miles). Turn east on SR1204 (aka Camp Livingston Road) for 2.5 miles to the trailhead.

Note: no ATV or off-road motorcycle use on open public roads.

Overall, Livingston - Hickman is the 6th most popular hiking trail of all 6 hikes in Louisiana.
