North of Spokane near Mead, the Mount Spokane State Park has 100+ miles of trails open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The forested park features stands of old-growth timber and granite rock outcroppings.

To reach the Mount Spokane State Park from Spokane, head north on SR2 to SR206. Follow SR206 for 15 miles to the park entrance.

Overall, Mount Spokane State Park is the 55th most popular hiking trail of all 56 hikes in Washington. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Mount Spokane State Park including Gillette Ridge Trail System, South Fork Silver Creek Trail and Liberty Lake Regional Park.
