East of Spokane, the 2,900 acre Liberty Lake Regional Park has about 20 miles of trails open to hiking and horseback riding.

To reach the Lake Liberty Regional Park from Spokane, head east on US90 to the Liberty Lake exit (Exit #296). Heas sout on Liberty Lake Road for 1.25 miles. Turn left heading east on Sprague Road for 1 mile. Turn right heading south on Nayland (it merges with Lakeside Road. Turn right on Lakeside for 1 mile. The road merges with Zephyr Road. The park HQ is located at 3707 S. Zephyr Road.

Overall, Liberty Lake Regional Park is the 50th most popular hiking trail of all 56 hikes in Washington. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Liberty Lake Regional Park including Gillette Ridge Trail System, South Fork Silver Creek Trail and Mount Spokane State Park.
