Hiking The Hard Labor Creek State Park

Southwest of Athens and north of Rutledge, the 5,800 acre Hard Labor Creek State Park has a 22 mile trail open to hiking.

To reach the Hard Labor Creek State Park from US20, use Exit 105. Continue into Rutledge. Continue 3 miles on Fairplay Road.

Note, hiking on the 22 mile trail network is only permitted on weekdays. The weekends are reserved for equestrians.

Overall, Hard Labor Creek State Park is the 20th most popular hiking trail of all 22 hikes in Georgia.
