Hiking The McKinney Roughs Nature Park

East of Austin and northwest of Bastrop, the McKinney Roughs Nature Park has 18 miles of trails open to hiking. There are several trails overlook the Colorado River.

McKinney Roughs is located on Hwy 71 13.2 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The facilitys entrance is 8.4 miles west of Bastrop. The horseback riding trail has two entrances.

Overall, McKinney Roughs Nature Park is the 32nd most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Texas. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby McKinney Roughs Nature Park including Forest Ridge, Pedernales Falls State Park and Lost Pines Hiking Trail.
