Southeast of El Paso and north of Fort Davis, the 2,710 acre Davis Mountains State Park has 14.5 miles of trails open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

Directions: The park is reached by traveling 1 mile north of Fort Davis on State Highway 17 to State Highway 118N, then west on State Highway 118N for 3 miles to Park Road 3 entrance.

Overall, Davis Mountains State Park is the 30th most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Texas. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Davis Mountains State Park including Guadalupe Peak Trail and Franklin Mountains State Park.
