Hiking The Polar Route

The Polar Route is a 100 mile treck from Kangerlussuaq north to Sisiniut. This route typically takes 10 days and is marked with rock cairns. The southern terminus is in Kangerlussuaq then heads north thru Kellyville and on to Sisiniut. It traverses meadows of cotton-grass and damp permafrost.

Along the way, there are free, no reservation huts. Just bring your own food and sleeping bag.
