Near Rajamalai, the Eravikulam National Park is known for hiking and trekking in the India state of Kerala. It is a 97 square kilometer national park known for elephants and nilgiri tahr. The park lies along the high ranges of the western coast in the Munnar Forest Division of Idukki district in Kerala. It is situated on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the north where it is extends as the Annamalai National Park. The park ranges in elevation from 1,400m to 2,695m.

To reach Eravikulam National Park by air, use Cochin International Airport which is 143km.

To reach Eravikulam National Park by train, use the railway station at Ernakulam which is 143km.

The park entrance is at Rajamalai. From Rajamalai, one needs to travel on foot for around 18 km. Rajamalai is at a distance of around 17 km from the Munnar town connected to many places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu by regular bus services.

Overall, Eravikulam National Park is the 31st most popular hiking trail of all 42 hikes in India.
