Hiking The Nagarhole National Park

Southwest of Bengaluru and Mysore, the Nagarhole National Park is known for hiking and trekking in the India state of Karnataka. It is a 643 square kilometer national park known for jackals, elephants and tigers.

To reach the Nagarhole National Park by air, use the airport at either Mysore (96km) or Bangalore.

To reach the Nagarhole National Park by train, use the railway station at Mysore (96km).

Note: In any national park known to have lions or tigers, hikers need to exercise extreme caution. It is highly recommended to us a park-approved guide prior to hiking or trekking in these regions. Also, make sure to enter the park well prior to dusk. There may be elephants that block the roads.
