Hiking The Ouray Ice Park

The 72nd most popular hiking trail in Colorado.

South of Ouray, the Ouray Ice Park is a winter hiking and climbing trail system. There are packed trails running the ridges above a river gorge and there are maintained ice flows down into the gorge for ice climbing.

The Ouray Ice Park is located on US550 about a miles south of town. The parking is on the left side of US550 and the hiking/climbing is on the right (southwest) side of the road.
