West of Banff, the Brewster Creek Trail follows gravel and dirt doubletrack up the Brewster Creek valley to Banff Sundance Lodge (30 km). A rugged and muddy track continues beyond climbing 1000m up over Allenby Pass (21 km). To reach the hiking trailhead from Banff, head west on TC1 to Sunshine Village Road. Turn left heading south and park at the first trailhead.

Overall, Brewster Creek is the 4th most popular hiking trail of all 11 hikes in Alberta. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Brewster Creek including Redearth Creek, Rundle Riverside, Ross Lake and Skoki Valley.
