In the Waterton Lakes National Park, there are several trails through the incredible glacial carved peaks soaring up to 9,600. The hiking trails wind through sub-alpine forests of red-barked Engelmann spruce. The best routes include the Akamina Pass/Creek Trail (6 km), Wishbone Trail (6.5 km), and Bauerman Creek (4.5 km).

Overall, Akamina Pass is the 3rd most popular hiking trail of all 11 hikes in Alberta.
