Hiking The North Rim Traverse

The MOST popular hiking trail in Newfoundland.

On the western coastline north of Corner Brook, the Gros Morne National Park has 63 miles of hiking trails through rocky outcroppings and brask forest. The North Rim Traverse is an 18 mile trek through artic-alpine barrenlands of the Long Range Mountains occupied by moose and ptarmign. The island is peppered with parks but the geology is an extension of Applachians. Rocky granite. Check out the primitive road between Goose Bay and Esker via Church Falls, and also trails in Terra Nova National Park.
