South of Uxbridge, the 4,000 acre DF has 25 km of trails through the rolling hills of Oak Ridges Moraine. To reach the hiking trailhead, follow Route 401east to Brock Road in Pickering. Proceed north on Brock Road to Durham Road 21 at Coppins Corners. Head west on Durham Road 21 for 5 km to Sideline #4. Go south on Sideline #4 for 1 km and the trailhead parking is on the left.

Overall, Durham Forest is the 10th most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Ontario. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Durham Forest including Bruce Trail, Etobicoke Creek Trails, Ganaraska Forest and Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
