South of Mt Blanc in the French Alps near Chambery, the Parc national de la Vanoise has many non-technical fire trails and technical tracks traverse the edge of the park in magnificent alpine countryside. The hiking routes pass hanging glaciers, rushing streams, fields of wildflowers and hidden savoyard villages. A good starting point is La Masure.

Overall, Vanoise National Park is the 2nd most popular hiking trail of all 14 hikes in France.
