The best place to start the Himachal Pradesh hiking trek is the town of Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. Check out the 10 acre resort in ultra-secluded Leh (near the Chinesse border) on the edge of a glacial lake ringed by the mountains. On the long ride over to Manali, cross Indias main Himalayan ranges via four high passes: Taglang La, Lachalung La, Baralacha La, and the Rohtang Pass. The journey offers exposure to varied landscapes from Tibetan high plateaus of Ladakh, semi-arid plains of Lahaul, and lush Kulu Valley.

Overall, Manali is the 1st most popular hiking trail of all 42 hikes in India.
