Hiking The Gstaad

Southwest of Bern, the Gstaad Super Ski Region has 45 miles of hiking trails maintained in the winter for cross-country skiing. Gstaad (pop. 2000) is one of the worlds greatest alpine ski resorts which is still fun in the summer.

To reach this area from Bern, head south on Route A6 to Faulensee. Follow Route 11 east to Gstaad.

Overall, Gstaad is the 9th most popular hiking trail of all 15 hikes in Switzerland.
