In the GGNRA across the Bay from San Fran, there are two trails shared by bikers and hikers through rolling hills which connect to form a figure-8: Coyote Ridge Trail (6 mi.) and Gerbode Valley Trail (8 mi.). Both are accessed from a trailhead parking area on Tennessee Valley Road which meets US101 north of Marin City.

Overall, Golden Gate National Recreation Area is the 20th most popular hiking trail of all 88 hikes in California.
