Hiking The Moraines and Meadows Loop Trail

The Moraines & Meadows ride is an 11 mile loop. Hike begins at Lee Vining Ranger Station on Highway 120. Passess through Lower and Upper Horse Meadows and circles Williams Butte. Starting elevation is about 7200 feet. Trail falls a couple hundred feet in first mile, the rises to 7800 at 5 miles. Sharp descent below 7000, then back up to starting point.
