Hiking The Panorama Mountain

North of Mammoth Lakes near June Lake, the Panorama Mountain is an 11 mile loop. Hike begins opposite June Lake Junction on U.S. 395 between Mammoth and Lee Vining. It consists of 3 interconnecting loops. One can hike portions of trail by selecting first loop only or combining first loop with either the second or third. Full trail goes out to circle Aeollian Buttes, starting at 7700 feet, with two peaks at close to 8000 feet and a trough at 7000 feet in between.

Overall, Panorama Mountain is the 17th most popular hiking trail of all 88 hikes in California. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Panorama Mountain including Hartley Springs Trail and Moraines and Meadows Loop Trail.
